Foundation for Theosophical Studies Newsletter Events Programme
Sunday 22 - Saturday 28 April 2007

THE HEALING ARTS

Welcome to the 14th e-newsletter of The Foundation for Theosophical Studies, which lists our events this week at the London headquarters of the Theosophical Society in England.

This week 's feature gives the full programme of our 2007 Summer School, which this year takes place in Leicester, and is organised by Summer School Director, Jenny Baker. Entitled The Healing Arts, it focusses on a variety of esoteric healing systems which complement alleopathic medicine and which embrace the Society's third aim, to investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man. There are both day and week tickets available, with or without accomodation, full details of which are on our website. Please do come and join us for what promises to be a fascinating and instructive school!

Thank you for all your comments so far about the newsletter. Please keep sending them and let us know if there are any topics you would like us to feature in the future. We also welcome contributors willing to submit the featured article. Do please forward this newsletter to your friends and fellow TS members and encourage them to sign up! And if you can't get to 50 Gloucester Place, you can always buy CDs or tapes of many of our lectures.

Very best wishes,
Colyn Boyce
Publicity and Administrator

Leader: Colin Price, National President of The Theosophical Society in England

An informal on-going class in which the basic teachings of Theosophy (Greek for Divine Wisdom) are explored and discussed. In this class we will consider the sevenfold nature of humanity and the cosmos and how karma and reincarnation are involved. The book The Key To Theosophy, by H P Blavatsky will be used as the main source text for the meetings.
    Free admission

    6 pm: THE ULTIMATE CONSPIRACY?
    Terry Edwards

Britain leads the world in surveillance. Soon our every movement may be tracked with satellites monitoring our cars and intercepts on phones, emails and internet use. Where is this all leading and why? We look at the nature and purpose of systems in society in general and our lives in particular, starting with the largest system of all - the universe itself. What esoteric principles and mechanisms are at work? Terry Edwards has a background in physics, information science and computing

    TUESDAY 24 April 2007

7- 8.30 pm: THE SECRET DOCTRINE
    Leader: Victor Hangya

    Helena Blavatsky, author of
The Secret Doctrine
In the midst of today's materialism and ruins of old religions you are invited to join the excavation of the perennial wisdom! The tool used in our exploration is The Secret Doctrine, which claims 'logical coherence and consistency' and expects to be treated as a 'working hypothesis', so freely accepted by modern science. The SD sheds light on some of the greatest mysteries concerning Man, God and the Universe.
Victor Hangya has been exploring the Ageless Wisdom for more than 20 years.
